Terry E. Carter has been writing and developing his craft for decades. He is a classically-trained poet whose literary influences range from Shakespeare to the Harlem Renaissance. He is also a professional editor who has helped other authors and writers craft everything from "how-to" books to doctoral dissertations. Terry is also actively engaged in his own free-lance writing projects, including web-based content development and marketing collateral. He graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Fisk University with a bachelor’s degree in English. He also completed a graduate fellowship in Mass Communications at Boston University. Terry is a husband, a father, a teacher, a visual artist and a jazz aficionado. These experiences permeate his poems and “poetic stories.” Terry enjoys taking contemporary life and faith experiences and translating them into word pictures that engage people in a truly unique way.
Just what is a Salon?
A salon is a gathering of intellectual, social, political, and cultural elites under the roof of an inspiring hostess or host, partly to amuse one another. Our Tea Salon at Three, in addition to our afternoon tea service, introduces a guest speaker who will share their knowledge on a variety of topics, wellness, beauty and fashion, home and garden, travel, books, career/business planning, and community engagement.
The Tea Salon offers a delightful, delicious and relaxing afternoon tea experience. Our tea is served in the classic afternoon tea style. The three tier plate rack holds breads and sconces, delicious tea sandwiches and tasty pastries. Teas are chosen for our fine loose-leaf tea list to accompany the menu.
Reservations are required and we ask that you RSVP by the Thursday before the Salon. Call if you RSVP after Thursday to ensure seat availability, 781-986-7190 or 617-922-1455. Please remember to inform us of any food allergies.
