Vermarje’s EqualiTea Collection

Local Support for small tea business and Social and Economic Justice…

In 1911, the intrepid suffragist women of California hosted tea salons so that women could have a safe place to discuss politics and women’s rights over cups of tea. These extraordinary women created these tea salons to raise awareness for their cause, as well as raise money for the campaign for women’s right to vote, one cup at a time. Our newest line of tea, the EqualiTea Collection, was inspired by their brilliant idea.
The EqualiTea Collection is exclusive to Vermarje Tea, featuring Courage – a delicious herbal tea, Harmony – a healthful green tea, and Morning Brew – a classic black tea. We are committed to do our part, one cup at a time. Our EqualiTea Collection teas are private-labeled teas, and are offered on-line, in retail shops, food markets, and to civic and professional organizations. Vermarje donates a portion of EqualiTea Collection sales to local non-profit organizations that serve as advocates and leaders of social and economic justice.
Locally, we are proud to partner with America’s Food Basket at 300 North Main Street, Randolph, MA, where you can find Vermarje’s EqualiTea Collection display in the pastry section. America’s Food Basket is a truly unique ethnic food market in our town – the shelves are stocked with food from around the world, reflecting the diversity of Randolph’s residents. We send our thanks to the store owner, EdWin, who recognizes the importance of our mission and store manager, Wanda, was done an excellent job of highlighting the EqualiTea Collection! As always, we urge you to shop local.
The future of the EqualiTea Collection is bright, including expansion to more retail stores, and the introduction of local tea salons with partners in the local community. These tea salons will provide a space for leaders and advocates, who have the courage, compassion, and commitment, to engage in open and honest dialog. These discussions will help participants identify best practices and new ideas concerning leadership and equality issues. As a result of these conversations, we hope to achieve a deeper understanding of the problems and engender a willingness to use existing knowledge, skills, connections, and influences to promote more sustainable change.
In our world today, we witness a renewed energy, a sense of purpose, a stronger will, and a heightened compassion in society to push for racial justice and societal change. There is a more precise focus on the need for mindful and meaningful action. Vermarje, through sales of our EqualiTea Collection, is devoted to support this work, one cup at a time.
